I got Staunton on October 28, 2001. He arrived at the place where I rode after a 6-day trailer ride along with Elisa, our Haflinger Mare. Staunton is my equine partner. He has a very high play drive, and easily gets bored. He is an extremely curious horse, so even if he is a bit skeptical of something, he will usually investigate it. He is also the most vocal of our horses, hence his quote. Here is Staunton's most recent Horsenality chart [for more info on the horsenality chart developed by Parelli, visit their website!]. As you can see, he is almost entirely a left brain horse (although when I fill out his chart for Environment, he is completely Right Brain...Hmmm, how interesting!). ![]() He loves new experiences, as long as they happen in his normal habitat. He loves learning new things and is extremely quick to catch on. He takes interest in everything. I am learning to be quicker for him and to be more progressive.
Staunton is so much fun, and has the most playful and humorous "horse-anality" I have ever seen in a horse. We have been having very positive results with PNH. He loves to play, and he is helping me along my journey to become a horse.woman!
